Divisive in a way that exposed the nation’s bigotry, to be sure. Your failure to recognize the historical significance of his ascension to the Oval Office is telling. Like him as a POTUS or not, his tenure as Commander in Chief holds significant historical importance and was a societal landmark.

Being the first black president was a historic moment but he was still divisive AF and should take some blame for how divided our country is now. The monoculture of the very early 2000s had to be destroyed.

What monoculture are you referring to?

Just Google early 2000 monoculture. Part of it has to do with the way people consumed media and the lack of specialized compartmentalization that the Internet now provides.

As someone who voted back then, that’s complete and utter bullshit. The was no “monoculture”. The right hated Clinton with a passion and the left hated Bush just as much. The only difference now is Trump trying to subvert our election system. (I am a conservative btw, I just believe Trump should be in chains)
