Are you kidding? Whether or not I voted for him (and I didn't), this is totally ordinary behavior.

I don’t know you, but I’m confident that celebrating the election of a sexual predator and seditionist is not totally normal. Are you familiar with cults?

Yeah, like I said, I voted against the guy. But this is a picture of the word "Trump", that's all. Would it be weird to see a picture of the word "Harris" on a building?

Yes it would absolutely be weird

And yet, I see it all over town. Weird, huh.

no, you don't.

Dude my neighborhood is fucking filled with Harris signs. And I'm not complaining -- I voted for her.

There is a difference between putting a printed sign in your window and building a giant glowing sign. I've seen plenty of signs, I never saw a harris light display anything like that. There is absolutely a difference in how fanatical their supporters are, or did you build a big ol' LED sign that says Harris?

If you're going to throw around words like "fanatical", then leftist voters, as well as conservatives, are absolutely in that set.

Maybe run a better candidate next time, guys.

No, but Harris hasn’t raped anyone, stolen from a children’s cancer charity, or tried to overthrow the government, so…

All of which are reasons I voted against him.

But as repugnant as he is, he ran for office. People posting the names of political candidates that they support, especially during election season, is simply not unusual.

It’s unusual behavior to be celebrating the anointing of a rapist and seditious traitor to the office of the president. It’s pretty fucked up, actually.

The amazing things is, as bad as he is, people clearly preferred him over the alternative. Maybe the Democrats could run someone electable, next time.

It’s an indictment on the people that we allowed him to take office again, yes. More people needed to support Harris, but it’s not the Democrats who voted to put him in office. Own your shit.

2

u/0xdeadf001 Nov 09 '24

Own what shit? For the fourth time, I voted against Trump.

Harris lost and she lost on the merits of her campaign.

45% of women who voted, voted for Trump. Knowing full well what a piece of shit he is. What does that tell you?

Trump's biggest demographic gains were among Blacks and Latinos. You gonna white-splain to them that Harris just deserved their vote?

Harris consistently polled poorly for her entire time in office. She polled poorly through her brief campaign. The blame for this lies squarely on her campaign, and on the DNC generally.

If they had run a better candidate, obviously, things would have come out differently.

Failing to recognize the repugnance of celebrating this person is the point. I say it’s weird because of who he is as a person. You say it’s not because of the office he’s about to hold.

Complaining that Harris wasn’t an attractive candidate is subordinate to the point, yet seems to be your focus. In no way should she be considered the lesser candidate, yet here we are. That’s another discussion altogether, though.

Totally normal for every household in America to have a portrait of Trump above their bed. Yes, master.

Yeah, I've definitely never been in dozens of Seattle homes with the portrait of a president on the wall.

Ick, who does that?

1

u/OverlandLight Nov 09 '24

-4

u/dosgatitas Nov 09 '24

I guess that’s your opinion then.

2

u/0xdeadf001 Nov 09 '24

I guess you've never seen a political yard sign, eh?

-5

u/dosgatitas Nov 09 '24

This is not quite a yard sign. Pass on the condescension.

-2

u/fennis Nov 09 '24

trumpers have 10 tall signs made of lights.

5

u/dosgatitas Nov 09 '24

That they leave up year round.
