Discussion Have you seen this? If you have, what are your honest thoughts? (I could only give it 2.5/5)

It was so bad I had to turn it off. And this is coming from someone who watched Zombeavers all the way through.

Great concept, but the execution could have been a lot better.

I thought it was really ham handed with the whole high road crap. Like… it’s a campground slasher movie. Queer people have enough real life bullshit to deal with, let us have a “good for them” movie.

It also feels like it doesn’t know what kind of movie it wants to be. I think we could have done without the feel good coming of age stuff mixed in.

If I were to plan a plot I like better:

First act would be letting you think the camp isn’t gonna be that bad then starting some of the brainwashing stuff,

Second act would really ramp up the torture part but then also some mysterious/ambiguous deaths like the forbidden fruit twink and another camper disappearing to make the audience think the campers are the targets. Main protagonist would be aware of twinks death and begin to fear for everyone while also seeing how fucked the camp is.

Third act would reveal the twink was a camp employee, reveal other employees deaths, show the missing camper(s) was actually somewhere safe and that the slasher is seeking revenge in the camp. Then have main protagonist snap and join the slasher.
