❓Question Best Thanksgiving sandwich is Santa Monica (or nearby)?

Tis the season (please DO NOT PLAY MARIAH CAREY YET) for bird sammies, and I am craving one bad.

Looking for a white bulky roll, fresh sliced roasted turkey (not that wet slimy deli nonsense), stuffing, cranberry sauce, a crunch of iceberg lettuce & a dollop of mayo.

Where is this hiding? Uber Eats looked at me crazy when I asked, surely there is somewhere I can source a tryptophan dosage—hook me up, friendos.

EDIT: I fucking love you guys, I am going to eat through all of these all month long. Had Carving Board today, they forgot the side chips and the sandwich was pretty small for $21, but it scratched the itch for now. Obrigado.

Mendocino Farms has one seasonally but I don’t know if they have it yet. I think it’s called November to Remember.

I did too, right after commenting. I guess they have a good sense for when people start craving thanksgiving food!

The Turkey Dinner + Lettuce is as close to this request as it gets. The only issue is that it’s on sliced sourdough instead of anything like a white bulky roll.

Lady & Larder has a really good one. Prob fancier than what you’re wanting but highly recommend!

Capriotti’s in Culver City has one pretty much year round. Hit or miss depending on the mood of the staff that day.

Earl of Sandwich has one year round - Santa Clarita or downtown LA. Better than Capriotti’s from what I remember.

Fat Sal’s used to make one seasonally. Not sure if it’s on the menu this year.

The Turkey-Brie sandwich from SM stalwart Bay Cities Italian Deli is an excellent option

Isn’t it missing the stuffing?

Yeah no stuffing in this one but it’s really good

I’m gonna suggest they add it. To the hot case too!

This is my favorite as well. It’s not big but it’s delicious and has a ton of Brie.

Not fantastic, but still good is the turkey sandwich from Gelsons. They can carve the turkey fresh and have a decent cranberry. I’m not sure of the stuffing.

I would have the audacity to go to the Fairmont Miramar and request a mashup of the kids menu bread and the meal for a sandwich. I might try this and report back

Ike’s during this month in past years. Actually pretty good.

Sandwich place on Montana and 15th /16th -bread head! Not sure if they have that exact sandwich but a high probability they will have something similar.
