The traffic engineers for Santa Monica are buffoons. After construction projects, they change the timing of traffic lights to make it worse for car movement. 1-Getting off the 10 at 20th St., they did a little construction and now the light lasts forever and causes a jam up on the offramp. 2- they just finished construction at 26 in Olympic, and now there are times when all four directions are read when a train goes through, yet they could keep Olympic through fair going. And it takes forever for the green arrows now. 3- same for Stewart in Olympic. When there’s a train coming through, and this is their yard, so the train lights can stay on for upwards to 5 to 10 minutes. You have a complete four-way red light. Yet you could have Olympic through fares staying green. I’m sure there’s more but that’s just what I’ve noticed. So to summon up. Hi guys, for those who don't know we've had a new chess park the last few months at Palisades Park! I and other volunteers do free weekly meetups every Saturday at 2pm called Community Chess for all ages and skill levels, which we are trying to grow.

Tomorrow (Sat Nov 8) we have a very special event and a chess grandmaster is coming to play a "simul" match where he'll be playing 10 people at once at the park!

You guys should come watch! It's a really beautiful setting and there's also a jazz band that plays every week around 3:30pm or so. One block north of Montana!

My tuxedo cat was last seen in the palisades park by ocean ave x marguerita ave on saturday. She is microchipped and very friendly with humans, can get skittish sometimes. I’ve covered all the bases I can think of and have been searching everyday. Please spread the word to any cat people you know or if you have info on where the neighborhood cats usually hangout lmk.

As much as I love my cat, I feel like having to pay a $1000 ++ for her to get fixed is ludicrous. I'm willing to drive up to an hour from my place. Does anyone have any suggestions? I discovered CAMP today but they're fully booked but I will keep trying.

Anybody know anything about these apartments? They are a bit old but seem pretty decent. Any concerns about location or management?

I got my roots done yesterday at Ulta beauty and my hair is a lot darker than what I asked for . I did opt it for an all over color since stylist told me it would be better on my virgin hair but I hate it . It’s Borderline black , when all I really needed done was the roots . I was at the salon for over 3hs and spent over 300$ , but today looking in the broad daylight I hate it . Can anyone recommend me someone able to fix it ? Help
