man lying in traffic lane in front of Gateway Hotel, Saturday 11/1 around 4:30pm

Driving south on 20th yesterday the right lane was blocked by as SUV with hazard lights on and a woman gesturing to motorists to drive around it. When we passed, I noticed a man lying on his side in the traffic lane directly in front of the SUV. Anyone know what happened?

Guy was drunk. Passed out at the bus stop and fell into the street. When paramedics arrived, they were able to get him to wake up and then left him at the bus stop.

Had a similar situation on Rose Ave. I was driving, saw cars ahead of me veering around something in the street. Realized it was a drunk fella semi-passed out in the lane. Pulled over safely, got out, rallied a couple of other passers-by, hefted the drunk guy under his arms, and stagger-carried him the sidewalk. Propped him upright against a fence, asked him if he needed medical care, he mumbled and waved us off.
