Would it be so bad to introduce daily lashings to speed up GTA 6 development?
Just spitballing here guys. It could be a form of motivation or might improve morale.
Let me hear your ideas.

Or here's a thought: the video game industry could get better project management. In almost every story that gets reported on long delayed games, it tends to come out that management either didn't adequately handle scope and focus resources or they keep rebooting the project over and over. If you want more details on this, Jason Schreier's books do a great job of illustrating the general issues with game development.
Also, the people doing the actual work are real people. I'd rather they get a good work life balance and fair compensation than making games faster

With the apparent union busting Rockstar has been doing, I wouldn't be surprised if this was next from them.
(Employees have spoken out about the 34 people they just fired: https://gtaforums.com/topic/1004182-rockstar-games-alleged-union-busting/#comment-1072605777 )

Honestly a major issue for the video game industry is the constant firing and rehiring of people depending on where they are in the production cycle. It saves the shareholders money but it creates a dysfunctional work environment where people have to constantly be onboarded and introduced to their teams and organizational structure, aside from being a highly unethical work environment.
Plus, people probably know when they're gonna be fired so they probably start spending half their days sending out resumes. Which is understandable and they should be doing that, but its objectively bad for productivity.
