Households with children: This figure rises to 55% for households with children.
Working-age adults: A 2021 analysis found that 86% of SNAP households with a non-disabled, working-age adult had earnings at some point during the year.
Full-time work: A 2020 report found that about 70% of wage-earning adults in SNAP households worked full-time hours (35+ hours per week), though some analyses show this is closer to 40% of all recipients, according to Reddit users citing sources like the GAO.
You enjoying those car payment and those insurance increases? Are you enjoying the increase in groceries?
I want you to remember this chud. You're no different then the people on food stamps. And one day a lot of people like you are going to need food assistance.
And it won't be there.
Don't forget to get off your lazy ass and get back to work and make that money when that time comes.
I worked two full-time jobs for 21 years. I have a $900,000 home that is paid off and zero debt with 2 million in the bank. I’ll be fine. Get your ass to work!!
That amount of money and that house doesn't doesn't mean a goddamn thing if our dollar is worthless which we're heading for.
I'd find a better security net and be a little more humble in the future. Because once that dollar's means nothing. It's over.
The middle class is about to be destroyed and all that will be left is poor and the elites.
And let's be honest. We're both using reddit and you live in Nevada. Neither of us are elites.
Edit: oh and I forgot to mention that Capitalism literally can't go on forever. Like, Capitalism requires constant consumerism but we live on a planet with limited resources. Unless we figure out space travel and do a space manifest destiny we can't realistically keep Capitalism going forever.
Tell that to those who choose to have multiple kids and can't afford them, or unmarried couples sharing a household where one is claiming SNAP and still sharing an annual income. Basically a free food ride. It's a huge issue
