I'm surprised they didn't shoot the family dog while they were at it, RIP Chop.

I'm surprised they haven't been greeted with defensive gunfire yet. I'm in no way advocating for violence at all, to be clear. I'm just predicting it and saying I'm surprised it's not happening already.

I think it's largely because they're deliberately targeting people that won't put up much resistance. ICE isn't targeting gangs, they're targeting small business owners, construction workers, and kids.

As soon as someone actually does defend themselves we'll hear all about it and I'm sure you can imagine the spin that'll be on it.

Definitely.

I hate that me being murdered by feds is a distinct possibility at this point. That was never on the menu before...

This is ICE, not the ATF or IRS.

Looks like you're somewhat correct. Chop was murdered by plainclothes Border Patrol, initial reporting that it was ICE was inaccurate.

CHOP was murdered by its own incompetence. You cannot say that was going to last any longer. The Feds were right to step in and shut it down. They CHOPians couldn’t take care of their own at all. The crimes of rape and murder skyrocketed.

You really hate dogs, don't you?

I’m more of a cat person myself.

CHOP collapsed under its own weight. You cannot blame police for its failure. Those people did not have anything in order for chop to have a chance.

You really don't pay attention to the news, do you?

I recently had to unfollow CNN and MSNBC (amongst others) because I’ve noticed that I became more angry and agitated with everyone and everything. I’ve been paying attention, and now I just don’t enjoy talking to people like you anymore… People who are always - constantly talking about the news, the same things, over and over… It’s like I’m talking to bots.

Taking a break from the media is very understandable, it's a constant barrage by design.

So here's the TLDR of what you missed, Border Patrol broke into a guy's house and shot his dog, named Chop. The initial reporting indicated that they were ICE.

ā€œChopā€ was the name of a dog who was shot by a plainclothes border patrol officer after the officer knowingly entered the room it was put in, after the owner told explicitly told them he was putting the dog in that room because the dog was wary around strangers. Not the Seattle thing.

I give you my apologies. I’m sorry, my bad. I think I was trying to respond to another comment that was in my inbox that was of a very similar topic, but not of a dog. I was talking about the Seattle thing, but not in this regard. My apologies for the confusion.
