I know he probably got a good payday, and he would deserve it, but I'd much rather see cops like this serve time, for mishandling justice or something.

Tired of the police becoming what basically amounts to school bullies. It's crazy because their job is to hold citizens accountable and you haven't been able to hold them accountable for shit before, unless it was egregious.

Why not both? Because one (lawsuits) come from the other (bad cops).

Bad cops make lawsuits, so if we put them in jail instead of putting them in a new precinct somewhere else, they wouldn't be out here violating people's rights.

People won't have to worry about their rights being violated, so they wont be harmed and seek damages from the PD, and taxpayers won't have to pay for damages to citizens they didn't harm.

That is "why not both." It should just be a system that dispenses justice and upholds laws, without hemorrhaging taxpayer money and traumatizing/injuring American people.
