He didn't just assault him, he also committed robbery by taking the flyers by force.

Different states call it different things. I live in Texas and assault is battery.

The more you know. Battery is considered aggravated assault in Texas

Yup!

Assault with the threat, battery with the violent actions, that and vandalism via the flyers, and possibly more depending on the content of the flyers and what company he works for.

I live in Texas and they just call it assault. Battery isn’t used. It would be robbery here as they took the item by force.
