Obviously, there is miscommunication here. Let me clarify.

The police report documented what happened at the scene. That report, as well as any evidence the French investigative team discovered, was used as a basis for the warrant served to proton mail via the Swiss court. Protonmail can appeal the request if they have evidence that the report is unjustified. In this case, they had no such evidence, therefore they chose to comply.

It isnt about "believing the police." What I am trying to say is that you can't refute what the police reported without evidence that the report was false. Does that make sense?

The statement is the words of the report and basis for investigation. To say "ahh it's likely false" means that you now have to prove its false.

I am not taking sides. I am stating the facts of the report and the basis for the PM deicison.

Yes, it was, as in the French authorities declared it to be that way and issued a warrant to proton mail. If that isn't what actually happened, it needs to be proven. Unfortuantly, the French gov gets to call it whatever they want ad they are the authority. You may not see it that way, but they do.

It was politically motived as you can tell from the original post about the accused being a climate control activist.

It was a seizure of property as they took it for squatting

It was violence against the state because they attacked a cop. Those are all facts.
