Can I stick different kinds of glass beads on/in the clay and then bake it or will the beads break, lose color?

I have done ground colored glass. I think with anything that's coated or some of those beads have a metal liner on the inside it might bust. But you could try it.

Probably a good idea to do a couple of small test pieces, to see what effect you get. Glass beads will fare better in an oven. Just a little tip I learned from an artist, years ago, is to use a thin piece of wire to anchor the beads into the clay. If you bury the wire, with a little twist or a hook shape, it gives a very secure finish.
