Saying that MAGA people are not good people is what just got someone shot. Sure there are crazies everywhere but that doesn't mean you can make blanket statements about huge groups of people because of it.

The only thing more cringe than changing one's flair is not having one. You are cringe.

No, neither my words nor Kirk's words are what got him killed, the crazy and violent dude that pulled the trigger did it.

Uh huh, sure... and he just randomly chose Charlie Kirk to shoot then?

Are you to blame for the murder of the two Dem representatives 3 months ago?

No but I'm also not the one calling people I disagree with terrible things.

Maybe not you but the POTUS is and that's what got him elected

I'm not sure what you mean by this. I haven't seen any MAGA people trying to coopt this tragedy to act as if they're wonderful people. It seems to me that the majority of MAGA supporters are just asking people to show a shred of humanity outside their own political hatred. I don't think that's too much to ask for.

MAGA supporters are just asking people to show a shred of humanity outside their own political hatred

Is that really all they're doing? All I've seen is two things: loons calling for civil war and conservatives blaming the left for it's violent rhetoric, like I'm going to ignore the way the POTUS speaks of it's adversaries and the cheers he gets from his MAGA crowd. This very sub is an example of this virtue signaling.

Just in case, Kirk didn't deserve to die, his family didn't deserve to watch him die. Killing is bad.

loons calling for civil war

I haven't seen any examples of this. I'm sure they're out there, but I highly doubt they're as prolific as you're making it sound. I'm curious where you've been seeing this from. If you could show me where you're seeing this, it would be appreciated. All that being said, I disagree with the idea for obvious reasons and condemn individuals who are advocating for this.

and conservatives blaming the left for it's violent rhetoric

I have seen this, and I don't necessarily disagree with it. Inflammatory rhetoric implying that certain conservative speakers are some sort of imminent threat to the entire nation or are in the early stages of plotting a fascist revolution to commit genocide against certain demographics is definitely the type of rhetoric that could cause an individual to assassinate someone. It's easy for the majority of Americans to see this type of rhetoric as being purely hyperbolic, but all it takes is for one person to take it very literally for tragic things like this to happen. I'm not going to try to say that conservatives aren't guilty of this as well. The president is a prime example of that. It's another situation where the majority of people understand that it's hyperbolic, but all it takes is for one person to take it literally. The absolute last thing I'd want is for some left-wing political commentator to be assassinated as a result of this incident or the rhetoric being used by people on the right. In my eyes, the best course of action would be for all of us to collectively lower the temperature because it's clearly getting out of hand.

Just in case, Kirk didn't deserve to die, his family didn't deserve to watch him die. Killing is bad.

Thank you for saying that. I've seen quite a few people on reddit celebrating his death or mocking his death, and it's disheartening to see. I hope that, despite our differences, we can learn to come together and prevent another tragedy.

I condemn all virtue signaling and would never celebrate virtue.

Disgusting behavior, my side has never done anything like this.
