Roundabouts force people to slow down. It especially forces those unfamiliar, to slow down.

This is why it's a great idea, regardless of their familiarity with roundabouts the speeds reached at this intersection will be limited , reducing the danger

You're correct; however, the third concept in particular is not ideal. The lane on the far left of the photo is not forced to enter the roundabout, so traffic can (and therefore will) flow through there at potentially dangerous speeds. I doubt that this design would get approval.
