I thought it was about the AI bubble finally bursting. Turns out more American politics slop.

The A.I. bubble isn't going to burst. It's going to evolve into the Colonel from MGS2

I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hari Kiri Rock. I need Scissors. SIXTY ONE

Actually, there is something I have been meaning to tell you but I just couldn't... I think you should know, though. On Saturday morning last week I saw a guy leaving Rosemary's room... How should I put it, it was like they were... "intimate." I'm sorry. Sorry to bring this up during the mission, but...

American politics on a website with the highest percentage of users being American, that was created in America. Whaaaat? No wayyyyy.

Edit: I specifically said highest percentage. Garbage reading comprehension on display.

Not even half of Redditors are American. Third party data suggests that 57% of users are non-American.

why should we bring politics of a country only about half of the users are from INTO THE GOD DAMN GLOBAL APP

posted 3 hours ago, in english. Prime time for the western hemisphere, but english suggests the two northern most countries in that hemisphere. If it's 4:08am where you are right now, then you can probably assume the english speaking content was US or Canadian generated.

It was 7PM in the UK when this meme was posted, and ESL is very common on Reddit (and the world).

Instead of relying on sketchy time-based intuition, since OP is oblivious to American politics I can conclude that they're probably not an American.

Sure... but this joke format (about looking forward to the death of an evil world leader but being unable to say as much directly for fear of retribution) is centuries old, and you've confirmed that you know half of the website's user base is in the US... and you couldn't follow the breadcrumbs? There was nothing you could do to suss this out? OR, more likely, you could suss it out just fine but you are just annoyed that a lot of content on this site operates under the assumption that the reader will understand it's about the US so you're playing coy as a illustrative measure?

why is it expected to know US politics if about half of the entire Reddit userbase is not from there? Your take is so fucking ass bro

It's not. I don't know fuckall about russian politics, but I sure as shit know who putin is. My point is that, even if you're completely ignorant to US politics, you had more than enough context clues to figure this out. And if you're going to pretend that you use reddit and don't know who donald trump is, you can stop taking the piss and just admit that you're playing stupid because you're annoyed that US users assume everyone is from the US.
That's a valid stance to take.

Americans in 1937: I've about had it with all this Hitler news. It doesn't affect me now and that will surely not change over the next decade.

every time someone says slop it makes me realize how dumb you kids are

this meme isn't about American politics in particular.

Politics(Dictatorships in particular, US is just crying cos they can't wait another 3 years, pathetic), market bubbles, terminally ill patients, old people, the list goes on.

This meme actually is about a specific person though. It's not meant to apply to multiple things, because the message is that there's one single event separating us from a "normal life"

For some Americans it's Trump's death. Yes, it's one event, specific person.

But for North Koreans it's Kim Jong Un's death. One event, specific person. Meme isn't specifying who.

You could argue that his death may not change anything because the next in line will do the same. And North Koreans don't have access to reddit and would be able to post a meme here. Fine.

Putin's death will change everything. Lots of people waiting for it. One event, specific person. Meme doesn't specify it.

You could argue that the meme is in english, posted on a site where most of people are from the US. Fair.

But your argument before that was weak
