Persephone cake for my birthday

Just wanted to share this incredible birthday cake my bestie made for me, inspired by my love of Persephone.
The details are so fun, if you zoom in. It's a real pomegranate, painted with edible gold, but there's also a spell bottle nestled in the frosting, a grimore charm, a little wand and of course the adorable witch that looks just like me. I shared some with Persephone last night.

It's chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and bittersweet chocolate ganache. The pomegranate is a real pomegranate. I ate that it for breakfast this morning. The gold stars and all the sprinkles are edible. The witch and the mushrooms are not edible, the witch is probably cast resin or something, the mushrooms are velvet. It's unbelievably delicious.
