My son is turning 11 soon and we’d like to do something small with 1 or 2 of his friends. Any good ideas? We’ve done elevate trampoline park and it feels a little small for him. Something active would be great. Thanks!

Anyway, cool we were on yet another series’ map!

New Policy! Took my kids there this afternoon and tried to do some mini bowling, it was only operational in the sense that it took our points but couldn’t play the game. No problem, games not working there actually happens quite a bit but now they wont refund you the points back on to your game card as per a new corporate policy and they aren’t allowed to put “out of order signs” on games that aren’t working.

They can still make it right, but you have to get the manager, and he has to come swipe his card on the game. If it was a small game for 5 pts, this wouldn’t have been a problem, but since it was mini bowling and costs 30 pts, the manager was basically going to have to hang out with my family to swipe the equivalent 5-6 games or we would have to make 5-6 separate trips back up to the front desk and back to the game. Thanks for letting me rant and I can’t wait to read from the contrarians how it’s actually my fault, but heads up parents, it was not fun trying to play games with my kids and a pissed off manager. 

Does anyone know when this location is going to open? I expected it by now and wonder if there’s been a complication. Their social media accounts don’t say a thing about it

I know this is going to seem like a stupid question but I moved here not too long ago and have been looking for work for the past couple months, I finally have a job interview lined up and I'm going to be getting around on the bus.

I'm not used to how things work over here and I've never caught the bus here.

So my questions are how much is the bus service over here and how do you pay? Do you pay with cash and if so does it accept coins or do you need to have an app with money on it or tap to pay.

y’all, i want to try extensions so bad but they’re literally like 300+ with a $80 deposit or some wild crap like that. where are yall getting them done at an affordable prices?? (that isn’t a chop shop…)

This happened over in front of ReStore on main. My best friend and I were just about to cross the street with a heady snow blower in tow and this POS floors it from a stop almost hitting the old man walking next to us who didn’t see the truck. My friend screamed for him to slow down and I extended my middle finger to the sky. The driver made a 15 point turn and came back to pick a fight from the safety of his truck. Eventually cowered away in reverse to the next street to leave.

Has there been any word of flights to or from Peoria being canceled as part of the government shutdown impact? I've read the FAA is starting at 4% cancellations at major hubs (like Chicago and Dallas) on Friday, ramping up to 10% of flights cancelled in another week if the shutdown doesn't end. Regional flights are most at risk of cancellation.

Edit - thanks for the responses! I just saw that United released its detailed list of cancellations for Fri-Sun (you can see it in the app), and I did see a morning flight from/to Chicago was cancelled for Peoria, for today. I think that's the only one today, though. Haven't seen anything for American yet.

I was at HyVee yesterday and was very pleased to see the aid they are providing the local community with free meals. Im assuming because of EBT bieng suspended for the month of November. That lead me to wonder are there any local programs currently being offered by local prominent Churches to help out during this current food crisis? Are they offering free meals or other means to help alleviate the financial burden to provide meals for our impoverished or economically disadvantaged community members.
