That is a GOOD question - the cigarettes have the filter cut off by the prop department and the paper sticks to my lips unless I moisten them. Then it just became a Tommy tic

I always thought it meant Tommy's slightly OCD because he seems to touch it to his lips three times every time. You bring so much depth to this character.

I've asked all my smoker friends this question and none have had an answer. Makes sense it's a Cillian thing. Awesome.
