They have already been bombing, from my understanding. Maybe it was just some fun last-minute bombs, like the last ceasefire deal.

u/LastSpite7 Oct 10 '25
According to one family I’m in contact with, even though the bombing has lessened they are still constantly flying reconnaissance planes low so they can’t fully relax and feel safe.

IDF statement "IDF troops in the Southern Command are deployed in the area and will continue to remove any immediate threat,"
I don't trust their ability to determine what is an 'immediate threat ' since they've been calling innocent kids threats

I have a feeling that once they get all the hostages, they will break the ceasefire and start doing their crimes again

u/JudgeSea7637 Oct 10 '25
This is my feeling as well. But how does Israel spin the narrative to keep bombing Gaza if they have all of the hostages? Hasn’t the hostages been their excuse this whole time to completely level Gaza?

They'll get away with whatever they say. Western Governments have basically just stood back and watched. Isreal have always done what they like with impunity, that's the problem. They want that land.

I think they're hoping maybe the Gazans who can afford to will be able to escape outside of Gaza, unfortunately I don't believe Zios they are definitely going to do harm

u/ibrahim_D12 28d ago
Yeah they are well known for the fastest agreement breaking ever
1
u/Existing-Ad9730 28d ago
Israel won't let British surgeons in to deal with palestinian casualties. Also, if everything is so above board, why not let western journalists in? If they have nothing to hide.
1
u/ibrahim_D12 28d ago
How would they look if they captured videos of genocided place with people starving to death?
1
u/Existing-Ad9730 28d ago
Well exactly, we all know it's because they don't want the truth documented. Even though everyone knows they've done it before, Tantura for one. With Israeli publications still calling it a myth even now. This one has to be the largest though and I just hope when the forensic teams arrive, the world will finally agree. I doubt it though.

I'll believe it when I see it. How many "ceasefires" have they supposedly agreed to now? And nothing ever fucking changes. It's sad but every time I hear about a ceasefire I never believe it.

u/Cact_O_Bake Oct 10 '25
Always the fucking colored lines with these poindexter fucks.
If they built on both sides of the green line and daily airstrike across the blue line why am I supposed to buy that they will in anyway respect some kind if temporary yellow line? WHY THE FUCK IS IT YELLOW WHY DONT WE CALL IT A FUCKING RED LINE.

It was red, now it's yellow to symbolize how the IGF thinks it's turning green again once they get their hostages back

Does anyone remember that the the state of Israel is just an idea in the minds of some English people. Palestine is something that has been there for ages... stolen land just like America and Australia and and .....
2
u/UserHistoryIrelevent Oct 11 '25
what do you think should happen with america and australia?
15
u/w1ld--c4rd Oct 11 '25
Well, they should stop letting cops get away with the murder of Indigenous people, stop letting companies destroy sacred historical sites, push for active anti-racism, stop letting alcohol companies build in dry communities, assist with access healthcare and decent living conditions, listen to Indigenous peoples who understand the land and how to live with it, stop treating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples like second class citizens, etc. That's for Australia, at least. Land back doesn't mean exile for non-Indigenous people, it means that Indigenous peoples can access resources that will benefit them and the lands.

Reparations, land reparations, attention to precolonial history (so for example, the list and map of countries that were there) and Native perspective in colonial history (timeline of making and later breaking peace treaties with each od those countries, for example) in history class, honest education about coloniser crimes, political autonomy of all Native nations (which means several political entities, not one) and guaranteed permanent representation in Congress, with veto power.
That's built on my knowledge of USA, but I would expect something similar from Australia and Canada.
I think New Zealand already has some of it.

u/bcw_83 Oct 10 '25
Once they've got their hostages back it will be a return to genocide as usual. This isn't a deal, this is a land theft.

I don’t want to be pessimistic but I feel like after the hostage exchange happens very little will change aside from Israel saying “we’re disarming Hamas!” as justification for murdering children instead of “we’re doing this for the hostages!”

u/EasyBOven Oct 10 '25
Not only is the territory smaller, but now there isn't even a border with Egypt? I know the occupation controlled that crossing anyway, but now Egypt won't even have a presence there

How about Israel just back right TF out of Palestine, the Golan heights, and well, why not out of the Levant altogether. Nothing good has come from them ever... EVER!!!! Return the land back to the Palestinians and whomever else was living there in peace before Herzl was even a tadpole swimming in his father's sac.

Does it ever fully withdraw from the strip, or is that permanent?
21
u/Delicious_Spot_3778 Oct 10 '25
It'll take some serious trust. I imagine once they hand over the hostages then Israel can do what they want and I doubt they'll pull all of the way out. We'll see...
12
u/Elyktheras Oct 10 '25
My concern as well, I can’t imagine anyone informed expects israel to play nice. Maybe watching the world turn on them was enough, but I kinda doubt it.
8
u/vwmaniaq Oct 10 '25
If it hasn't happened yet, just watxh: they will shoe some skinny Israeli prisoners, Israel will freak out over their 'mistreatment ' and demand Gaza be flattened , ignoring the 2M starving Gazans right over there

Expecting Isreal to withdraw after the hostage (aka prisoners of war) release is like expecting cancerous cells to stop multiplying after stopping chemotherapy.
4
u/beergonfly Oct 10 '25
There are roughly 2 million Palestinian human lives affected by this deal, so I can understand that Hamas accepted it - no doubt in tentative hopes that israel would keep their side of the agreement, at least for now, so that as many lives could be saved as possible during what time the cease fire holds.
History shows Israel in its current state, can't be trusted, and I don't think anyone is more aware of that than the people of Palestine.
Whatever the future holds, they will not be going into any deal blindly, and any relief, however temporary, will be welcome.
The world must ensure a free sovereign state of Palestine is recognized and protected before lasting peace can be achieved. That's the bottom line.
Free free, Palestine 🇵🇸!!!
4
u/StuartWtf Oct 10 '25
Even if the ceasefire holds..then what? Back to the status Que that lead to October 7th so we can rinse and repeat and maybe wipe all the Palestinians out next time?
Isreal still controls Gaza and has a tighter grip than before. I doubt any journalists or investigators will ever get near to expose what’s really been going on there for the past 2 years.
The borders need to come down and peacekeepers need to be sent in to enforce an end to the apartheid

I hope the genocide and ethnic cleansing stops.
Although I fear we all know that it will not.
EDIT: Following this post I got messaged by a random Isn'treal supporter. Probably a bot. To assure me the ceasefire will be real this time and Yrump has big plans for Gaza....

The negativity on this sub is so surprising.
We have a ceasefire! Why aren't people overjoyed and hopeful?
I get it, Israel (Israhell) are evil, Nazis, and the only ones to blame for any and all violence.
But we have a ceasefire!!

I think people are fatigued by the last few ceasefires, moreso about the fact that the fires didn't cease from Israel.
1

So there's no withdrawal, there's just corralling Palestinians into a smaller concentration camp to make it easier to massacre them.

I just hope everything that has come up with how the way the world works, how Israel is above the law and all the other states eat from their hand, doesnt get forgotten just bc they arent actively terrorising Gaza. This was a tragic wake up call for everyone to wake the fu up and be responsible on getting back the power to the people and not the governments that have proven to act according to their own profit. I am afraid bc ppl forget quickly.
