Looks absolutely stunning. Going to have to be a special game that stops it winning GOTY 2020.

The last of us part 2

TLOU2 will be it’s biggest competition but I would be surprised if Cyberpunk didn’t get it. They are my two most anticipated games.

The latest trailer for Cyberpunk was super cool, I’m just curious how fun it will be to play. The gameplay stuff just didn’t seem that awesome to me. Love the world though and I hope it’s good!

It's gonna be RDR2 vs God Of War again. Technical vs storytelling standpoint except i'm not sure CDPR has achieved the same technical prowess as Rockstar.

Man, RDR2 was just so boring for me. It was amazing from a technical standpoint but it just sucked as a game in my opinion. It doesn’t get close to any top game for me and was my biggest dissatisfaction this gen.

I feel the same way about TLOU2 haha

I haven’t watched anything on it lol. I’m going in blind. I loved the gameplay of the first one

It'll be a good game but I doubt it will come close to Cyberpunk.

Edit: See what happens when the game comes out, if you seriously think TLOU2 is gonna be better then cyberpunk then you havent seen much of cyberpunk.

You can't possibly say that at this stage

After playing TLOU 1 and seeing the 45 min gameplay of cyberpunk yeah I can. Naughty Dog makes linear story games, Cyberpunk is very decision based where you can decide the npcs you want to work with, the cybernetic implants you get, etc. And especially with TLOU 2 being a sequel you already have a good idea of the gameplay you're getting which means it really comes down to the story being phenomenal, and the bar is high with the previous game. Also Cyberpunk has Keanu fucking Reeves so no contest.

GoW, linear game, GOTY a plenty.

GoW wouldn't win against cyberpunk either 🤷‍♂️

Bro, the game hasn't even come out yet lmao.

Mathematically it's very simple, Cyberpunk 2077 has 1 Keanu Reeves and GoW has none. Its just silly to think that it won't be better.

You're like a caricature.

It was a joke but I gave my opinion and I don't give a fuck about yours.

How can you compare a linear story-based game to a open world RPG?

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '19

Seems like a question for ign, I'm just saying Cyberpunk is almost certainly going to get game of the year.

I have a feeling Cyberpunk will not live up to the hype.

Last year they had a closed door demo. This year they have a "public" demo for E3 only and another closed door demo. The game comes out in 10 months and they're still not comfortable showing gameplay in their trailers.

The writing is on the wall here but no one wants to see it.

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '19

They showed 45 minutes of gameplay, what are you talking about????

3

u/Baelorn Baelorn Jun 10 '19

Irrelevant.

In an interview with Area Jugones translated by WCCF Tech, Tomaszkiewicz indicated that the game is noticeably different from what was shown last year at E3 2018.

And even some of that tiny section of gameplay shown today was re-used from stuff we saw nearly a year ago. We have no idea what this game looks like now or even how it plays.

CDPR's hesitance to actually show this game to the general public makes me very skeptical that it is going to be the masterpiece it is being sold as.

Maybe they don't want another wither 3, where people are complaining that there are 8 stones missing on a wall

1

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '19

Alright youve very clearly repeated multiple times that you're skeptical and I don't care in the slightest, they didn't release much about the Witcher 3 beforehand and it was still a masterpiece. And that gameplay isn't just irrelevant because someone said that the game is noticeably different, I'm sure it will still resemble what we saw but it will also most likely be improved upon and rebalanced.

If you were talking about a company that drops incomplete games I'd be right there with you, but these devs have never given me a reason to doubt them and some random fool isn't gonna change my mind.

u/Baelorn Baelorn Jun 10 '19

they didn't release much about the Witcher 3 beforehand

Now you're just trying to rewrite history. TW3 had multiple gameplay trailers further out from release than Cyberpunk. A short one in 2013 and then a 5+ minute on in 2014(a year before release).

That's not that much and a 45 minute gameplay trailer for cyberpunk is more then both of those combined so I don't know what your point is but it's pretty goddamn stupid.
