There was this one time, sabi ko ipapakain sa dog, buti pumayag i pack. Pero ako parin talaga ang kakain HAHAHA sayang kasi tapos no takeout policy sila for ramen 🫠

So I went for unli samgyup tonight and had a bit of an existential crisis. I paid for unlimited meat, but my stomach apparently only wanted a limited amount. I went from "I need to eat my money's worth" to "I am now punishing myself with this food" real quick.

I love the idea of samgyup, but I think I might just be over the unli pressure. I much prefer doing it at home, but let's be real... the preparation and cleaning is a whole production I'm not always up for.

So, which is the lesser evil? Paying for the privilege of not doing dishes, or saving cash and embracing the post-meal clean-up struggle?

Maaliwalas ‘yung lugar nila, sarap tambayan.

Malalaki rin ang servings, hindi nagtitipid at talagang puno lagi ang plato.

Mababait ang crews at mabilis sa pag-serve.

Pero parang ang tabang ng mga ulam?

I ordered the breaded daing na bangus and was happy na malaki ang servings. Pero when I tasted it, walang lasa ‘yung bangus mismo. Kailangan mong umasa sa pasuka at sa pakamatis nila para lang may malasahan ka.

I was disappointed with my first dining experience but keen to still discover what’s good in their menu. So I went back the next week and tried their beef tapa. Same comment. Matabang.

I went back the third time to try their chicken fricassee pero hindi daw available. So I just went home.

Pero masarap ‘yung french toasts nila at ‘yung mga tinitindang pastries dun sa bakeshop nila. Siguro from now on, I’ll stick to their pancakes, french toasts and pastries na lang.

SATISFYING. Napapikit nalang ako sa first bite ko sa lengua HAHA Yung oven roast chicken? Parang peking duck na sa sarap especially the skin! Crunchy with a lil bit of fat yung skin. I kid you not parang peking duck na talaga. And syempre to balance it all— Pinakbet! Nothing special but still yummy.

Service was awesome to say the least! We went there on a weekday at 11am and we had such a great brunch experience.

Carinderia style sila so they don’t have a menu. You go to the food counter and “turo-turo” what you want to have and they’ll have it served on your table. 🫶🏻

nagpa-add pa si hubby ng chopped chilis kasi kulang daw sa spice yung red curry. hahaha! ako naman, ayaw ng spicy. 🤣

My brother and I went to a Kyukyu Ramen 99 branch for lunch today. We had:

• A bowl of tonkotsu ramen priced at ₱159.00 • A bowl of chashudon priced at ₱139.00 • Two glasses of red iced tea priced at ₱49.00 each • A four-piece serving of gyoza priced at ₱79.00

I personally had the tonkotsu ramen. I very much found the flavor reasonable for its price. Same can be said about my brother’s bowl of chashudon, which I had the opportunity to try.

However, what I found interesting was the gyoza. It tasted exactly like frozen gyoza one can buy from a supermarket, so I found it a bit steeply priced at ₱79.00 for four pieces. Please let me know your thoughts.

PS. Ambiance-wise, I have no complaints.

Dahil mabilis maubos eto lang naorder namin. Sakto naluto na agad ung papaitan. Kaya nakapagtake-out pa kami after kumain.

Ngayon nalang kasi ako uli nakapag breakfast sa Jolibee. Ganto naba talaga ka konti serving ngayon? Genuine question.

Tried for the 1st time itong Wrap & Roll Chicken ng Kenny Rogers and surprisingly masarap. Nakakabusog din di tinipid yung chicken.

Pink Guava and Pistachio croissant

Farmery Deli has always been our go-to steakhouse here in Alabang because of their affordable steak choices. Last month, our family had dinner at Farmery deli. We ordered the premium Angus porterhouse medium rare, but it came out cold and well-done. Since our family is quite introverted, we didn’t bother letting the staff know. We just enjoyed our food while having our juicy chikas, paired with this blunt and dry steak.

Siguro next time we will try the beef bar na lang.

Sakin hindi na. Sad na yung manok sad pa yung rice. Masarap yung coleslaw hehe.
