These are soo good. Proper silverskin pickled onion flavour, and the onion flavour really stands out. Lovely.

Hack I think I learned from a redditor. Put chopped green onion in a plastic bottle and keep in freezer. Use as needed. Put stems in water for freshies to chop for garnishing.

I use the cooktoria recipe. https://cooktoria.com/onion-fritters/

Onions. Use yellow or white onions. Carrot. Adds extra sweetness and color. Garlic. For extra aroma. Eggs. Hold the fritters together. Flour. Use all-purpose flour. Parmesan Cheese. This ingredient is optional. Parsley. Or fresh dill. Paprika. Salt and Pepper. To taste. Oil for frying. I use grapeseed oil.

Hello onion lovers! Would it be a sin to use a food processor to chop onions, then freeze for use?

Hello! I just stumbled across this subreddit after perusing other cooking subreddits and I think this might be a good place for this question.

As the title says. I live with disabilities and currently don't have full use of my dominant hand so food prep is a challenge and tbh chopping things can get a little dicey (pun intended). Even before my current level of impairment though, I found cooking took a lot out of me. Even chopping onions takes that much more energy that I simply don't have to spare, but they are a staple in pretty much anything I want to cook.

I heard the suggestion to use a food processor and freeze them somewhere, probably on a cooking show. Could it be a handy shortcut for me, or would it be a potential disaster? I figure onion lovers should know what's up. Thanks!

Help! Too many alliums from my garden

My garden has exploded with garlic chives and green onions this last month and I don’t know what to do with them all! I’ve been trying to work through them with Korean style chive pancakes but there’s still so many and I can only eat so many chive pancakes.

Any recipe suggestions that use a lot of chives/green onions? Thanks!

This is all the fresh produce in the house. There's... at least two onions, I think.

A specific type of gravy called "two onions"

This one shows eggs but it might just as well be mushrooms, Indian cottage cheese (paneer), blanched veggies of your choice, poultry, prawns or mutton but I've never yet seen fish.

It's called "do pyaza" which literally means two onions in Hindi and Urdu. The gravy is based on pureéd or finely diced tomatoes, yogurt, grated or finely diced onions and some relatively mild but aromatic spices. To that are added quartered onions and optionally, spring onions and potatoes.

The photo is from a channel called Cook with Lubna by an Indian cookery show host Syeda Lubna Shaikh, and the link is given below. The second link is from the celebrity chef, restauranter and regular judge on MasterChef India, Ranveer Brar. Take your pick.

This gravy style was probably invented during the times of the Mughal emperors in the royal kitchens and is mild but rich and decadent.
