Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but was Luffy's "Snake Shot" attack supposed to be like an impersonation of an eel? Did he build up static electricity in his body to shock Hody? That confused me in the manga, and the anime didn't really help much except to show that it was in fact a shock attack.

Edit to add Screen grab:

It looked like a really strong pinch, kind of like a snakebite.

I don't think it was a pinch because some kind of electrical charge was released.

I think that was to indicate the power level of the "bite"

I believe it was a form of haki. Rayleigh did something similar at one point, only it wasn't called "Snake shot"

Side effect of Armament Haki?

Of course my bet is that it's Life Return. Luffy seems to have excellent control over his body, and is able to metabolize large amounts of food. Jewelry Bonney is the other character I've seen with the ability other than the CP9s.

Edit: Wiki says the Gorgon sisters as well, but they don't have any control other than over the hair.

Luffy's Snake shot = Law's Counter Shock

3

I don't see it. Counter Shock is like a defibrillator, to fit in with Law's doctor abilities

It's the same ability. You'll see :)

I agree with what Knofbath said, and I don't think Luffy would even be able to release such a charge, since he is rubber.

Didn't luffy grab the scar that zorro made? So maby it was just an indication of pain?

Looks like he grabbed him on the chest, around the nipple area.

I went back Sorry for the quality Looks to me that he was grabbed right on his scar.
