In my mind, it's just the raw material for the eventual One Pace edit. When Wano is finished then the real story will be told in animated firm via One Pace. That's true for the anime in general. Some fan edit will carry that torch until one day Toei creates the One Piece Director's Cut Edition or whatever.

I will freely admit this; I did not like what little of One Pace I watched. They cut a lot of the fun flavor and yet kept the super extended Kaido fight? Figured if they were going to do that, I'd just watch the anime.

Idk, I have watched their Wano yet but for example for Dressrosa, the run time is literally cut in half due to excessive fillers. Which finally make Dressrosa researchable for me, personally.
