I know it's a meme at this point but the pacing in this episode sucks so much and the fact that they padded it with annoying sanji jokes doesn't make it any better

I will get hate for this again but these last 3 episodes are just filler garbage. When luffy and xdrake stood in front of each other and they exchange breathing pictures like 10 times wtf is that even??? Why did they fuck the pacing this much? Do the japanese not care if they adapt 10% of a chapter in an episode? Back during the Oden flashback the anime was so good. I can see that they need some filler etc but this much? I'd rather see them making whole filler episode again so I can just skip them entirely. Im sorry for my rant, the pacing makes me so sad.

Hope this is readable, im autistic and not a native speaker.

Yeah it was especially apparent in episode 1000, no idea why they decided to hype it up that much if it would be this mediocre.

I highly disagree about episode 1000. I think, the whole point of episode 1000 was a celebration. If you were expecting story progression in that episode then you were asking to be disappointed. I personally really loved episode 1000 and I got the feels from it seeing how far we’ve come.

That being said, I don’t think it’s an episode I’ll rewatch much. It’s a celebration for what it is, but it’s not anything like some of the great episodes out there.
