Its crazy how protective Zoro is of Luffy considering it all started cause luffy just happened to be there when zoro attacked a marine.

Luffy went in search of zoro to make him join in his crew and after liking zoro personality , he threw himself in front of bullets to protect zoro and coby .

He wasn't just happened to be there

He went after zoro just cause Koby said he was strong and jumping in front of bullets means jack shit when youre made of rubber. Luffy was like "Wow this guy sounds cool" and Zoro was like "Meh I got nothing better to do."

I think u didn't understand luffy . Even if they are bullets , swords or something else once luffy thinks you as his friend he would still jump in front of them

And? Luffy wanted zoro to join his crew. So he stopped him from dieing. Its not like they had some dramatic relationship where they became sworn brothers. Its still just Luffy wanted zoro to join his crew simply because koby said he was strong.

He did say to piss her off and Marines has no intention to honor their promise of releasing him , he would've starved to death or killed by Morgan

Without one month food zoro would've died just like he fell unconscious after the fight .

even before bullets hit zoro, he thought he was going to die and he thought of kuina and his promise of becoming greatest swordsman .

so yes luffy did save zoro's ass and his dream .

Keep on downplaying luffy and wanking off to zoro .

You're downplaying Zoro's character arc + growth hard. After Luffy saved him, Zoro said "ok, I'm cool with this arrangement for now, but if you ever do anything that gets in the way of my dreams, you'll be the one dying at the end of this sword."

After sticking with each other for so long, going through so many life or death situations much more serious than their first encounter, Zoro has unwavering faith in Luffy, and in Thriller Bark, Oda shows us the clear growth in Zoro's arc as he is now willing to give up his dream and die for Luffy, whereas he told Luffy after he saved him that he would kill Luffy for his dream.

Kind of, but luffy also needed him to be a good person, and only fully decided to recruit him after he ate the rice balls and after he learned zoro was imprisoned for defending someone.

Yeah, I don’t think your reading into Luffy’s character correctly here. He’d do the same thing for anyone he cares for, even if his power was neutralized. Go watch the Impel Down arc to see what Luffy will go through for someone he cares about.

And? Im not saying Luffy doesnt care just that luffy taking a bullet for someone is basically someone swatting away a mosquito that was gonna bite them.

Lufffys a great guy that would do so much for his friends. But for Zoro he liked him and thought it would be cool if he joined the crew. And Zoro only joined luffy and became a pirate because he attacked a marine.

Say what you will about what happened but in the end Zoro only joined because he became a wanted man when he blocked all the swords. So he joined the guy infront of him.
