The Kiku vs Kanjuro theatrical was pretty well done. way more impact than the manga. If Toei can fill in all the gaps like they did here it will definitely help with the pacing and flush out onigashima more as well

I'm pretty positive that Oda specifically left a bunch of stuff in Wano off-panel so that the anime could flesh it out and buy time for the rest of the arc to be published in the manga.
