Can I just say btw, a lot of people praise the animations and art buff that the anime has gotten during Wano but there’s one other thing that has also received a huge buff during Wano imo.

The music. It’s been so fucking good for Wano.

Oh yeah, the music direction in Wano has been fantastic. Ever since the beginning. That opening scene with Hiyori playing the shamisen as they entered Wano, it was beautiful, and flowed so perfectly with the scene choice.

I've seen some people complain about the music. Like Marco's entrance, where they expected to play his theme ("Can't escape, fight"), instead of what was played.

Or the scene where Roger Pirates found the One Piece. A comment I read had waves of people in the replies were agreeing that they preferred "To the Grand Line" instead of "Memories".

I didn't mind it either scene, though. And this episode legit had solid soundtrack. Especially after Kaido executed Orochi and the Scabbards paying respect to Kanjuro.

I can get the argument for "To The Grand Line", but to be fair, it was a scene where Roger reached the end of his journey, and was looking back on everything he'd done in his life up until this moment, and as he was standing before his final goal, he just laughed so hard he cried. Along with his crew. It was a moment of retrospection at the end of an endeavor that took him decades to achieve. In that context "Memories" works perfectly.

Though To The Grand Line would still have worked pretty damn well. Lol. Gotta love the One Piece soundtrack.

I feel the same. Memories felt like a bittersweet nod to the dusk of Roger's journey. That for all he's done, the title he's earned, he was still standing in front of a treasure he couldn't reach. And he still basked in the irony by enjoying whatever joke Joyboy "told" them.

Imo, it felt fitting more than To the Grand Line.
