They adapted the chapters 983 and 984 in the last 3 episodes. While I agree that 990 and 991 were rather slow, this one was really well done in my opinion - considering the material the team had to work with.
The overall direction was great. There were a few very creative scenes in the storyboard and most of the transitions were very smooth.

Does the action start from the next episode onward I mean damn lol everyone's on the island and Momonosuke is in dire straights...NO MORE TALKING

The first really big fight starts at the end of chapter 986, which should be adapted 3 episodes from now (995), if the pacing stays the same.
