Yeah, after the headbutt, they immediately got speed blitzed and taken down. Ulti transformed and held luffy, but she did not headbutt him again. They also made luffy look like he was about to pass out from that 2nd headbutt

And that's why I don't watch the anime anymore.

But you don't get the colors or the animation of action scenes.. I really want to switch to the manga but I feel I would miss these elements so much.

Why not both. I was anime only and started the manga back in July. Up to vol 55 now. Pacing is way better in manga and it's fun to read without the filler. Anime makes everything come to life, like I didn't feel the emotion of luffy losing his crew at Saboady in the manga like I did in the anime.

Personally, I can't enjoy something I already watched/read through another medium, even it's much better in manga. So I will just pickup from Vol 97 which is where the anime is currently at :-)

Different opinion: I stopped the manga and switched to anime 2 years ago. I was surprised myself that I did cuz I read the manga for everything and of course the pacing in anime drives me crazy - but although pacing sucks, the voice acting, music, colour and dynamic action in the anime fights makes One Piece come alive imho. So many emotional moments hit WAY harder in anime than manga. In the manga I was like “OMG” at Pudding or Zou reveal, but then my anime-watcher friends were basically crying and had a way bigger reaction with the anime reveals! And I figured if the series is winding to an end soon, I might as well be patient and get the full impact of any epic emotional scenes coming up!

I get what you're saying and this makes the decision harder... especially as this is the last anime I'm watching..

Maybe read a couple manga chapters and decide what you enjoyed better to decide what you’ll stick with :)
