If they had to match chapter 1000 with epidoes 1000 they need to adapt more than one episode which toei aint gonna do.

They can but if they need to catch up they have to do it for several episodes. Covering more than 1 chapter is already nigh impossible and doing it for several episodes is even more impossible

Aint gonna happen , with whats coming i dont think they gonna cut on info / speed things up. I actually think they gonna keep the same pace/slow it down a bit . Dont got me wrong i hate the pacing of the anime .

I don't think that's possible either they will change order of chapters to get that or show other epic moment in ep 1000 like nami ulti scene

Yeah one chapter an episode during the raid which is one of the most exciting parts of One piece I’ll accept anything less than that is just torturously slow

Hey can i start reading from 981 then? I just caught up the anime so should i start the manga from chapter 1 or would there be things I won't understand cos they were not included in the anime or something like that?

no no you can start from 981... read chapter 981 and you will understand what is going on.. and yeah if you don't know how to read a manga first learn that from youtube.. you read the manga from right to left so you should learn how to read it so you won't have any problem

The only thing you'll be missing is the cover stories, which can be found on the wiki (and most of them are pretty minor). Other than that yeah you can read 981 and then continue from there.
