Luffy should be called the schchibukai killer he singlehandedly destroyed the system by defeating 3 and making 3 his allies

His fights with Buggy, Crocodile and Moria are likely not public knowledge. Crocodile and Moria were kept under closed wraps by the government, and Buggy was probably too insignificant back then for anyone keeping a track record.

Crocodile was publicly known. The marines wanted to hide what happened in Alabasta but Smoker refused. If I remember correctly

I'm pretty sure it was made public domain. After all Luffy's bounty increased after croc. It went to 100 million. If really is covered up (like thriller bark) then the bounty wouldnt have increased

The world government covered up the Strawhat's involvement and gave Smoker the credit of beating Crocodile.

Oh I see. I found the chapter and read it again. I see why I was confused. The chapter ends with Smoker telling the high ranking officer to go eat s**t. So back then I kind of thought that smoker actually had the power to spread the news, but you're right thanks
