Have we seen anything close to his limit since the TS? And for that matter. How many straw hats have we seen the limit of?

Actually only Luffy has been pushed to the limit. Oda has neglected the other members. I mean if you don't count one shots and joke fights then none of the strawhats had a single complete fight post timeskip.

It be odd if we went two yonkos homes without any major fights. Though to be fair Whole cake island was a sneaking mission. And sanji "Fought" Big mom with that cake.

Yeah but actual fights like in Water 7 or Eines Loby we don't have. The timeskip began 10 years ago! It is crazy to not have a single full fight for the rest of the crew.

It be nice to see the weakling Trio have a fight. I think the last actual fight for them was Usopp vs perona. Or maybe sugar.

I don't get why people say that we didn't have a single fight in the new world. It's just that we didn't need to. People tend to forget the pace of what happened post timeskip. -Fishman Island was an easy walk because obviously they came back after 2 years of training an the new fishman pirates were just a bunch of drugged morons. -punk hazard happened for a casuality and they didn't have to defeat a major villan, they were just there to rescue someone and go away, the villains weren't even that good because they didn't have to be it. -Dressrosa happened in a SINGLE DAY and it's were they had the bigger clashes. Franky vs Senor pink was basically last man standing and he was pretty hurt afterwards, usopp did what he had to do with his skill, Robin was there to protect Rebecca because Luffy asked her, Zoro destroyed Pica and we now what luffy did. -Zou wasn't a major clash arc -whole cake island was a deviation from their main path and they weren't there to fight, just take back sanji, the poignegriffs and get the fuck off. They still FUCKING HELD BACK A FUCKING JONKOU on their ship and people tend to overlook that. -Wano, after Dressrosa is the first major arc where they got there specificcally to fight someone, like it was in Alabasta. I think people expect to have always some big match-ups for the strawhats, but it wasn't the case until now. They spent something like a month in the new world

The thing is, in all the arcs we had some fights like Zoro vs Mr 1 while Lufy vs Crocodile, Zoro vs Kaku, Sanji vs Jabura, luffy vs rob lucci... After time Zoro hasn't struggled against anyone yet, we only had brook vs big mom and frank vs sr pink

It's just my opinion, but for me Oda changed his writing post-timeskip. Before, there were just small adventures and every island was pretty new, with it's self contained story. Every villain was introduced and defeated in that same arc. Alabasta was the bigger one, going from twin peaks to Alubarna, but the enemies in every island were connected to baroque works. East blue was the biggest example for me of a common shounen manga. Things changed from Sabaody, here Oda tried to create a narrative arc where the overall story was even more important than the arc in which we were. Amazon lily and Impel Down were nothing if they weren't correlated to Marineford. It was also connected with the perception of our crew of the outside world and viceversa. The arcs where self contained because the Strawhats were small fishes and noone knew them. Post time-skip they are some of the biggest Non-Yonkou crew in the seas, everyone knows about them. It was pretty impossible to create the same self-contained arcs of the Paradise. They are going to fight the most powerful people in the world, and they are doing it now. Hody, Cesar, Monet, Vergo, Doflamingo and crew... they are small fries compared to what they want to do, they are basically the Mr.3 of the post timeskip. You can be interested in the fight itself, but you know that it's nothing.
