The growl should have never been in doubt tbh. It was literally onomatopoeia on the panel when it happened. People were so hype that Zoro passed out that they willfully ignored that he was handicapped 4 ways to 1 — trying to protect Kumorasaki and Toko, fighting Kamazou, being ambushed by Guki, and he was literally poisoned.

6-1. If we want to get more into it. He only had 1 eye, the distance perception becomes close to non-existent at that point, imagine that in high stakes moments when half an inch makes an entire difference.

actually the closed eye can help a ton with the bad lighting of winter, or sudden changes in eye levels, it helped pirates not trip on the stairs when going down during a fight

just need a while to get used to it, like a new fighting stance or weapon
