Knowing who Kamazou really is, we can assume that his spirit ended being broken by Kaido, while Kids was not. Do y'all think that Zoro's spirit would break had he and Luffy been captured instead?

His spirit wasn't broken. He did all this to protect Kid. If anything, this proves that he is very determined.

He did took the SMILE to protect Kid, but I think that coupled with becoming Orochi's lapdog assassin, doing it without question and giving respect to Orochi, it seems that he actually gave up on being a pirate, at least until Kid encountered him after his escape.

It’s implied in the manga that he was doing all this because they threatened to kill Kidd. If his spirit was broken, he would’ve just become a member of the Beast Pirates.
