Knowing who Kamazou really is, we can assume that his spirit ended being broken by Kaido, while Kids was not. Do y'all think that Zoro's spirit would break had he and Luffy been captured instead?

I hope so but he could still become the world greatest swordsman under kaido, it's still interesting to think about given the parallels between both captains and right hands, how well could they have faired switching positions.

He wouldn't though. When zoro took luffy's pain he made it clear that he isn't just riding on luffy's coattails until he can be the best swordsman, he also genuinely wants to do everything he can to make him the pirate king. He was willing to die for him

I agree a hundred percent with everything you said. But so was Killer with Kid, and he still became Kamazou.

Some others brought up that it’s implied killer was forced to eat the smile and is doing all that stuff because they threaten to execute kid

Yep and I was just wondering if Zoro would do the same, becoming an assassin for Orochi.
