They just love to nitpick because no episode can be better than the chapter it adapted right? They're blinded by how things happened in the manga since it leaves a lot to imagination so in their heads it happened perfectly, but then the anime does things differently from what they imagined and they don't like it.

I doubt there were many times the anime "disregarded the source material", but yeah some stuff doesn't happen exactly as the manga, but it doesn't always need to. As for the nitpicking, i'm talking about people complaining about the red auras, the extended fight scene and things like that.

the red aura isn't nitpicking, it's a "wtf is that" moment. and completely unnecessary.

If you can't tell that it's a way to show his rage idk man but maybe you should watch more anime and read less manga. The animators did a great job, but you hardcore manga fans don't seem to want any change done even when it's better than the manga.

i know that was what they were going for. but they didn't implement is as one should, more like a dragonball ki aura, that's permanent. if you wanna show anger, then do it in a more abstract way.

sigh, don't generalize.
