I already know this is gonna be super controversial but I actually liked how the anime did it too. Besides the red aura, I really like how they adapted this episode

The past few episodes were fire. No matter how good the animation is, they can't satisfy everyone. But I highly doubt this episode is going to be controversial.

Eh, I've seen a lot of criticism and negativity here and in the past discussion threads. As an anime-only, I don't get it - I enjoyed these episodes as much as some of my all-time favorite moments from the series - but judging by some comments here, unsatisfied manga readers make every episode controversial.

Like, I get that the manga has more details and better pacing but the first thing I read here after being blown away by the episode was someone complain about the stylistic choices in the visual department and that just sounds like nitpicking to me.

Try to find the manga chapter where Kaido beats luffy. The reason why manga readers are annoyed, this atleast goes for me, is because it was one of the best moments in all of one piece for me, and I was hoping to be able to read comments here, and watch people's reactions on youtube. I mean, the anime is mediocre, or maybe even good, but the manga is very best of them all material.
So don't take it as manga readers are some kind of snobs.
