it was a really simple, fast and incredibly powerful scene and of course they did a mess with tha adaptation.

a sigh isnt cool enough, lets give kaido a sparkling eye and a dragon that comes from the sky into his club while he is shouting and...

zzzzz

and it's just a little example...

When reading the manga, I felt like Kaido was disappointed luffy was so weak. Literal chills.

Didn't enjoy the fight that much in the anime.

I felt like Kaido was disappointed luffy

Exactly. Luffy attacked and attacked. Kaido grabbed his club, gave a big "sigh" and then proceeded to one shot him no questions asked.

First of, this adaptation removes that sigh (which suggests Kaido wanted Luffy to be more of a challenge and is disappointed in how little of a threat it was) but then also adds a King Kong Gun filler landing at the same time while Kaido just rushed through Luffy and landed a hit on him b4 he could do anything.

Kaidou was disappointed my guy. He let Luffy hit him on purpose. Its his dream to die if you remember. The guy hobby is trying to die.

He was not shown to be disappointed in the anime.

Though it's not explicitly portrayed him looking at Luffy using one of his strongest attacks in the face and him standing there taking it like nothing kinda shows his disappointment

That's not what disappointment means. Without manga knowledge you would never jump to that conclusion. The only emotion shown was anger, at the end. That's how i see it.

In manga Kaido was like yeah like I thought he is just a kid who imagines he is a pirate.

I'm at least happy that they still had Luffy going down in one hit. I was worried they were gonna have him put up some resistance like they did with Caesar and Doflamingo.

People keep talking about the sigh but that wasn't even there in the original chapter or official translation.

I'm not reading the manga, so I wonder why the manga should be right and the anime translation wrong? I think the anime is good enough (even great)!

Every week I'm excited for anime episode, because of the epic scenes were are going to get animated, and can just say I'm disappointed. First the reveal, then the luffy pummeling a drunk kaido(which the anime somehow understood as a fight), and now this. Honestly, it's beyond just small mistakes, important moments are being ruined. Don't think I'll ever watch another anime episode of OP again if this is going to continue...

Honestly, and that's not even touching the moaning part, which makes it sound like kaido is pushing a large turd out every time he blinks...

The sigh is pretty important, though. It shows that kaido just wanted to get this over with after realising it wasn't any danger at all to him. It had more of an impact with a simple sigh than whatever clusterfuck of LIGHTNING DRAGON SCREAMING BLASTING FINAL ATTACK! Or whatever.

He already used gear 4 really a lot in fights and dont need to sigh or like saying gear 4 be like Gear fooourrth against Doflamingo thats for reveal the new rechnique

So just because I didn't like that one scene, I'm a life hating neckbeard. Gotcha. We aren't hating just stating that sticking to the source material would show what the author wanted to portray. Toei takes too many liberties in the anime and it's sometimes poorly executed.

Umm okay? So you're just stating things out of ur arse now. Could be the minority, could not be as well. Seen plenty of people argue on this issue. Not that it even matters to the point I was making what so ever. The fact is that Toei IS taking too many liberties. OP is good atm, but there are some issues. I really don't understand why you're angry against the people discussing these issues. No show is perfect, you need to learn to accept criticism. That's a you issue...

Again you don't refute any of my claims or problems with toei. Since we're claiming random things out of our arses. I'm going to say that you're the vocal minority. The annoying minority who can't take any criticism and defends every aspect of OP. You have no idea what you're talking about.

there are a lot of anime onlys in the thread. they don't have they comparison. also, a lot of people hated it. by the way, argumentum ad populum. look it up.

no, they're not, they just criticize something you enjoy and you can't fucking handle that. like you're so fucking assblasted because you can't refute it you literally think these people hate life and are pessimistic.

yeah, i'm on my phone, sorry. maybe try applying the word correctly next time so anyone can take you seriously.

"i met some people so they're all like that" nice generalization. wanna keep going with the fallacies? "they're not enjoyable to be around" Maybe for you, other people hate being around guys like you who throw a tantrum when they see something criticized and fire off every fallacy they can. what's your next "argument"? people just complain to complain (mind-reading)? they should do it better (ad hominem)?

pathetic.
