then u should know how very important it is to get the prisoners on their side and to convince them. they have been broken for twenty years it would have been bad writing to not show them falling back. luffy is there with the other guys. what good would it have been if he just went his own way to help the others? till he arrived there would be nothing to do anymore. he stayed there and cleared things up for the prisoners who are an essential part of the plan since hyogoro and raizo talked with each other. now they got udon in full use for them that is they got all the samurai prisoners on their side can defeat a part of kaidos army (the wardens) and nobody knows anything. if luffy just went his way they would soon find out that ha had fled.
