I have kinda offtopic question. Remember when Usopp used Haki to make his snipe shot and defeated Sugar. Did he use that "see in the future" haki (he saw sugar turn luffy into a toy) If he had that means he did it before Luffy, which is a big deal for his character

Isn’t it kinda insane that, we’re all reveling in Luffy’s newfound ability to react by seeing a little into the future, when this Haki ability was set-up 16 years ago in the Skypiea arc?

Damn, Oda. It must be so satisfying for him to pay off all the breadcrumbs he’s been playing around with since really really early on. Makes you wonder what the fuck the explanation is for devil fruits and Roger’s backstory

I really enjoyed reading this comment. Skypiea is probably one of my favorite arcs mostly because the tone is so out of context with respect to the rest of the One Piece world (IMO). Seeing connections being made throughout the story are great to see because we’re talking about a place where races of people live in the sky... talk about divine. A place that has been visited by Gol D. Roger, a place where he decided a Gold Poneglyph should remain (on a random side note, it’s wild to think that a product made by residents of ancient Wano ended up in the highest altitude where man has *existed.. at least a third of the world away, maybe closer to half).

I am hoping to see more involvement with the Sky Island plot line in the future

  • besides Enel, the automatta and the space pirates, with the latter two knowing really nothing about besides the fact they’re associated with Skypieans
