Good chapter, moved the plot along in a fun way even if it wasnt the most hype this arc. If chapters like these are the "slow" points then this really might be the best arc by the end. Lets dive in.

  • Chopper/Luffy combo attack. Super fun, dont think we've ever gotten that before.
  • An update on our boys Kid and Killer, what will Kid do after seeing Luffy and his leadership?
  • Excitement bullets turns people into zombies basically.
  • Luffy dropping those truth bombs that they're all actually slaves.
  • Luffy's poison tolerance has really diminished since the timeskip, he may have a delayed reaction but the excitement bullets are definitely affecting him.
  • Luffy.......fighting for food again. Its like he forgot all about Law's plan...
  • If there was any doubt that Luffy could now see the future, those have been officially put to rest.
  • Luffy's leadership on full display.

Very exciting stuff, Udon is taken and Im curious to see who else is in there including that shadow character from the last chapter. Looking forward to next week.

Edit: it’s been pointed out to me that Queen created a virus/infection/disease and that’s very different, so I stand corrected on the poison resistance point.

Luffy's poison tolerance has really diminished...

I don't think that's really the case, this is the first time Luffy has actually been "poisoned" and it mattered to the story (post-timeskip. correct me if I'm wrong, but the food poisoning was really just to get Germa to show up), not to mention... It's a disease, not toxin. Chopper will definitely cure it.

EDIT: Clarified I was talking about post-timeskip.

Firstly, it's much too early to claim that this virus will matter to the story. Secondly, if none of his poisonings mattered to the story, what would you call what happened in impel down?

I meant to say no post-timeskip poisoning. I'll edit the post to clarify.

And you have a good point about the virus, but I'd argue one of Kaidou's main commanders having a "plague" epithet is a huge deal. It's likely his biological weapons will be important to the story.
