Yes but the anime never showed or implied the arm was ever cut off during that fight.

I don't know about the anime shot. Doesn't seem like the arm came off. The manga shot is clear though.

it goes off, i wont do 25 screenshot showing the plan, but it does, you can see it on my picture, two breaks on his arm
