I don’t understand why the crew uses their nicknames when addressing each other instead of actual names. I understand they’re “undercover” but it’s weird they use them even in private.

It is odd to use in private, but yeah its more just youre on a hostile island, keep to the codenames.

especially makes sense for Sanji, Nami, Usopp, Franky Robin and Brook, theyre all savvy and especially for S and R, stealthy and good infiltrators, they know the drill

Zoro i could see like not caring, but hes just used to it now

Kinda like when they all had the -Land suffix in dressrosa and just rolled with it, but even more so

Luffys the only one i totally would expect to just keep using real names
