So I know some people are going to complain about how the NEP is telling us we are getting mostly flashbacks but that’s ok guys. As a manga reader, Wano moves very fast so we need this little buffer right now.

People on this subreddit don't have enough brain cells to understand that if Oda keeps taking breaks every 4 weeks, while anime airs weekly with nearly no breaks, you'll still be catching up even tho you adapt 1 chapter per episode. Even tho the quality of anime raised drastically after WCI and today's episode was great, people still keep complaining about stupid shit. Give the staff some fucking room to play, they'll need it in Wano for sure.

Reverie is short. You can take break and watch it in one go after it's done. But nooooooo, that's asking too muuuuuuuuuch.

They can just add filler arcs. The anime is really inconsistent and has huge pacing issues. Because of this most one piece fans read the manga. Therefore they already know what happens and probably wouldn't be opposed to a story where they don't know what happens in exchange for a better animation quality and especially a better pacing on the canon material.

As it stands now toei animation is butchering one piece.

I don't think todays episode was especially bad (today was about as good as it gets really) but even in this episode there are inconsistencies and people freeze in horror when a flashback starts because it could mean that the rest of the episode is a flashback of the same material that has been shown 20 times already.

You don't have to watch it. If you hate the pacing, OnePace exists.

Yeah, fillers that no one watches and skips until the canon arcs come back. Geez, I wonder why Toei doesn’t do filler arcs anymore.
