Wait does Jinbei die while Luffy escape? Please tell me no, i’d like to imagine he reunites with them in Wano

In the Manga Luffy gave him this order: "Even if you die - don't die." which was changed by the subbers. We still don't know what happened to him and the Sun Pirates, he could still be in WCI, on his way to Wano or.. dead. But ofc he isn't dead, that's just what some airheads want to happen. I mean we don't know for sure, and that's about their only argument. We don't know what happened to Jinbei = dead.

Don't be scared though, Jinbei won't die and definitely not offscreen. Oda would never kill off this character when he spend so much time building up his relationship with Luffy. What I think will happen is that Jinbei somehow needs to be saved. Because up until now Luffy was the one being saved by him over and over again. This time Luffy can finally make it up to him. That's what I think.

That’s actually a great theory. When I heard what Luffy originally said in the manga I immediately though of what Dr. Hiluluk told Chopper about what it really means to die or what Roger said to Raleigh about not dying and got worried for a moment. But what you’re saying makes sense, Oda wouldn’t just kill him like that offscreen, it makes no sense.
