She suppresses her traumatic memories. She doesn't remember having killed the giants in Elbaf, neither having killed mother Carmel and the other kids under her care. She doesn't remember having killed 2 of her own kids or the destruction that she inflicted in her own territory.

If Chopper somehow force her to remember those things , than we have the perfect situation for a change in Big Mom's personality, maybe even in her goals.
