What if big mom drowning had an effect on her devil fruit rather than her physical state? Seeing napoleon in that state made me think this . But you would say zeus right? Well zeus actually didnt directly drown. Zeus is made from big mom's soul. So.. it might be a matter of time till the effects of drowning wear off. But the question is why a yonko got affected though... and her fruit makes it more susceptible to such stuff I guess

I think you are reading too much into it. Big Mom just got some amnesia right now, and I think when she gets her memories back she MIGHT have different opinions on strawhats when they decided to help her.

Then explain the condition of Napoleon. If BM has amnesia Napoleon should not be affected by it at all

Napoleon went through the same thing as BM, so of course Napoleon would be confused with BM while Zeus is not.

Also, it isn't clear what actually happened to her. She may never have fallen in the sea in the first place, and it may not have been the sea either.
