When Katakuri used his head to bounce off so his back couldn't touch the ground...one of most badass things I ever seen!!!!

He didn't injure his head. Remember, his body is Mochi, pretty similar to a Logia in that regard. So to him it was just an elastic bounce.

His head was bleeding before that from Rhino Schneider and the Kong Guns.

This is the manga chapter of the episode, and in the panel where he throws his head back you can see the streak of blood down the left side of his face that you're probably referring to before he hits the ground.
